How to create a new page using KUDOS pre-built template

In HubSpot, you can create website and landing pages for your website. You can customize page content and settings, as well as optimize pages for search engines. 

Create pages

  • Navigate to your content:

    • Website Pages: In your HubSpot account, navigate to Content > Website Pages.
    • Landing Pages: In your HubSpot account, navigate to Content > Landing Pages.
  • In the upper right, click Create
  • If you have multiple connected domains, click the Website dropdown menu and select a domain in the dialog box. Then enter a page name and click Create page.

  • On the template selection screen, templates from your active theme will appear at the top of the page, while all other templates will be in the Other templates section at the bottom. If you haven’t selected an active theme, hover over a theme and click Set as active theme
  • Hover over a template and click Preview template to open a preview or Select template to proceed to the content editor.

  • In the content editor, the editing options available depend on the page's template type and modules used. 

How to edit KUDOS theme settings

Customizations that will be applied to all assets of your website are known as Theme settings. If you want to keep your customizations constant across pages and system settings, this is a place to look.

You can edit a theme's settings from the content editor for any page or post using that theme: 

  • Navigate to your content:

    • Website Pages: In your HubSpot account, navigate to Content > Website Pages.
    • Landing Pages: In your HubSpot account, navigate to Content > Landing Pages.
    • Blog: In your HubSpot account, navigate to Content > Blog.
  • Click the name of your content. 
  • In the content editor, click the Edit menu and select Theme

How to Setup KUDOS Global Header and Footer

With global content, you can repeat a section of content, such as a header or footer, across multiple pages of your website. You can edit global content from the content editor or design manager.

Changes made to global content will be applied to all content using a template that contains the same global content.

  • Navigate to your content:

    • Website Pages: In your HubSpot account, navigate to Content > Website Pages.
    • Landing Pages: In your HubSpot account, navigate to Content > Landing Pages.
    • Blog: In your HubSpot account, navigate to Content > Blog.
  • Hover over your content, then click Edit.
  • In the content editor, click the global content. It will be labeled with a globalGroup global content icon. 

  • In the dialog box, click Open in global content editor
  • In the global content editor, use the drag and drop tools to edit the modules in a global group. 
  • To preview the global content in specific content, click the View on dropdown menu in the top left and select a page or post where the global content is hosted. To view the global content by itself, select Group only instead.
  • To create a multi-language version of the global content, click the Language dropdown menu in the top left and select Add/edit multi-language variations. Learn more about creating multi-language global content
  • When you're done editing global content, click Publish to [X] assets in the upper right. These changes will be applied to all pages and blog posts using a template that includes this global content.

How to manage blog template using KUDOS Theme

You can choose a template for your blog pages using blog templates of the Lively theme. By default you can create a template for the following:

  1. Blog Post: Template for a single blog post.
  2. Blog Listing: Template to list all your blog entries in one place. 

To change blog templates follow these steps:

  • Go to your HubSpot account’s settings > Scroll down to the left panel > Select Website from the dropdown menu.
  • From the drop-down, select the blog option > Choose the templates option. 
  • Go to the Current View option > From the drop-down select KUDOS.
  • Now select the blog listing page and click on the edit page to continue editing the existing blog template. Select the module through from drag and drop method and apply changes.
  • You can select the number of posts per listing page, select to show summaries and images, and the option to use feature images in listing summaries. 

How to customize your email subscription pages using KUDOS Theme

You can also select the email subscription template. 

  • Go to Settings > Marketing > Email > Subscriptions 
  • From the dropdown menu, you can select the Kudos Theme system templates for the Subscription preference page, Subscription Update confirmation Page, and Backup unsubscribe page.
  • After you have saved your modifications, you will have applied the said template to your chosen pages.

How to apply system template using KUDOS Theme

You can use system templates to create a template for system pages such as error pages, password prompts, and search results.

To alter the system templates, follow these steps:

  • Go to your HubSpot portal’s Settings > Scroll down to the left panel
  • Click Website dropdown > Select Pages 
  • You will see several sections. Select the System Pages section > Set a template for the system pages after clicking it.
  • You can see there are the system pages,  Errors, Password Prompts, and Search Results for all of your respective domains.
  • Choose the respective system template of our Kudos theme from the drop-down menu
  • The system page template will be used and applied to your website.
